Things we’ve been up to this week – 25th April 2021
Iain found an old cobbled path in the orchard whilst he and Andy were finishing the Sitooterie, and the whole team spent a day following and clearing it. We think it looks marvellous! We took delivery of three of our giant mirrors and manoeuvred them up the spiral staircases. Andy and Anna built a firepit in the orchard and promptly inaugurated it with a BBQ and s’mores.
Andy built a table, another still to follow along with some benches and chairs. He also built the table tennis table, which is now in the Vaults along with the pool table, foosball table and air hockey table. He picked up some sofas for the cottage, which we think are going to look beautiful once it’s all done, and installed the kitchen bin and door.
Anna did some more floor stencilling in the downstairs hall; cleaned, modified and installed 4 chandeliers given to us by Psychomoda ; prepped the cottage living room ready for painting; trimmed the holly hedges (making sure there were no nesting birds first) and got through some more shredding.
And the most exciting news of the week: Thomas at T J Ferris Stonemasonry and team have finished the entrance wall and gate posts and they’re absolutely beautiful! They’ll be back in a few months to hang the metal gates.
Greetings! Very useful advice in this particular article! It is the little changes that produce the greatest changes. Thanks a lot for sharing!
